Carol Colvin's BiographyPurchase "Long Beach Island Rhapsody" at Amazon

Carol has been a resident of Ocean County since 1968. Living in Toms River since 1977, Carol painted intermittingly while her two sons were young.

Professionally trained as a Master’s level Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist, Carol painted as a way to find creative expression and to refocus herself into the positive of life.

Carol’s style and belief is that people want images around them that create a feeling, and evoke an emotion that is of a positive nature. Life can be harsh, but art, music and faith are there to keep us balanced.

Encouraged by her husband, Sidney, she began to paint and exhibit with greater consistency. Various subjects, including landscapes, florals and figures continue to be an interest and are typically depicted in watercolor, pastel, or mixed media.
